SF2G.FGF.RRR.630.OK? 2/29/08

ride report:
-- about 13-15 of us I believe to start out with
-- 6:45ish RRR
-- picked up Mary on Cesar Chavez
-- mellow pace most of the way, front pack broke off, leaving 9 of us
-- picked up our bikes and made our way across the mud bug which wasn't too
sloshy
-- one fallen rider towards the end who's name will be spared, but said
rider recovered with grace
-- 10ish arrival
-- overall, great ride, met some cool folks, cooperative weather
a few pics mixed in with my delicious kabob lunch:

Re: 2/28 06:30 RRR

RIDE REPORT

Beautiful day, nice tailwind, 3 riders, Marius and I took turns
attacking each other but neither of us seemed to have truly explosive
power today. Instead, we traded off lead til we were tired, at which
point Joe would whiz past, leaving us wheezing in the dust.

The mud bog is still a mud bog.

Breakfast was good. I am very happy I finally determined that that
reddish-brown mash at the NoName omelet station is actually soyrizo.
Yummmm.

See you all for FGF tomorrow, yo!

40miles 2000' / Tues 7am / MTV-44

Lovely day for a ride (MB link).  The timing was perfect; I met up with the Trinh Train right at the end of Canada.  Man, it's been a while since I recorded a Canada RD TTT entry (from 92 to Edgewood Rd).  23.0 mph avg.  Not bad for early in the year, without any helpful tailwinds.  Compare that to...

10/2 - space, chris, trinh, space, then me w/sprint finish
23.7

9/25 - solo
23.1

9/25 - space, chris, trinh and me with equal rotations
23.4

9/18 - marius, & me w/leadout from whole "team".  must be headwind.
22.7

9/14 - Chris, Space and Me pulling
23.0

8/21 - Longer rotations w/4 riders
22.1

8/15 - 2min rotations with Marius
23.1

7/24 - On Space's wheel
23.7

I'm riding up to me the SF2G.Skyline crew tomorrow morning.  Great training route, perfect weather and gorgeous cyclists.  Moderate pace expected (2:30).  Email or text if you would like to join me.
